The Operations Officer (Cards) will report directly to the Operations Manager (Cards) and will be part of the Team which is responsible for the Bank’s Cards Operations.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Handle daily operational tasks including but not limited to second line customer support requests, invoicing and reconciliations, card loadings and settlements;
  • Monitor customer accounts within pre-defined fraud related patterns, raising the necessary alerts when necessary and as per procedures;
  • Handle customer chargeback requests;
  • Reply to customer emails, in a timely and professional manner;
  • Ensure that customer on-boarding and transaction processing follow the bank’s KYC and AML procedures;
  • Assist in card stock management, production and fulfilment;
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of operational procedures and product terms and conditions;
  • Input, maintain and manage customer data within the banks’ back-office information systems;
  • Provide reports on a regular basis, as directed or requested by the OM;
  • Assist the OM in market research and analysis together with the implementation of new projects as required from time to time;
  • Schedule and attend customer meetings with the OM and record meeting minutes;
  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding the Bank’s products and services;
  • Keep abreast with current and new legislations, laws, directives and regulations related to the banking industry;

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Perform general office duties such as handling of mail, scanning and proper filing;
  • Support internal and external audits;
  • Provide support to the OM as and when required.

Skills and experience:

  • Diploma and /or Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business, Management or equivalent;
  • Excellent command of English language;
  • An excellent eye for detail and high work standard;
  • The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively;
  • The ability to work proactively, independently, as well as part of a team;
  • Willingness to learn and grow;
  • Be energetic and have a positive attitude;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools especially Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Demonstrate good customer service skills;
