Reporting to the Head of I.T, the IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining existing IT systems, whilst providing IT support to all the corporate group’s users. The selected candidate will be responsible for accurately maintaining IT assets, procuring, tagging of IT hardware and co-ordinating with third parties. Will also help in the planning of new IT systems for internal use as well as for production purposes.
Areas of responsibility:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Assisting staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.
- Replacing parts as required.
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
- Onboarding and off-boarding of users.
- Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
- Co-ordinating with the team leader for the timely resolution of reported issues
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with the bank’s users, IT engineers, department managers, software developers and HR.
- Testing and evaluating new technologies.
- Conducting general maintenance pertaining to the IT Infrastructure

Knowledge and Experience:
- Have minimum 3 years’ experience working within an IT environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies in general.
- Technical knowhow on Enterprise IT Equipment.
Education:
• Advanced Diploma or Degree in IT
• Fluent in English, knowledge of another language (Spanish, Dutch, or German) preferable.
