What is a Gift Card?

A Gift Card is a prepaid non-reloadable card accepted worldwide everywhere MasterCard® is accepted. A Gift Card is loaded with a set amount of funds and can be used for multiple purchases online and in store for as long as value remains. After the balance is exhausted, the card is automatically closed.

Where can the Gift Card be used?

Your Gift Card can be used anywhere in the world where the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark is displayed.
Be sure to know your card balance before you use your card. When you are ready to make your purchase, give the cashier your card or, if asked, swipe it at the terminal and sign the receipt. You can also use the card for online (internet) purchases. The purchase amount will automatically be deducted from the card balance.

How does it work?

Once you receive the Gift Card, all you need to do is to sign on the back of the card and you are ready to use it. The card is already active and loaded with the amount printed on the card. When you make a purchase using your Gift Card, the purchase amount will be deducted from the card balance.

What are the costs to use the Gift Card?

The following fees apply to your card:

Foreign Exchange: 2.00% (only applicable when the transaction currency is not in euro)

Monthly Fees:
0-6 months from Activation Date: 0.00 €
6-18 months from Activation Date: 3.00 € per month charged to the card balance
18-36 months from activation Date – 10.00 € per month charged to the card balance

How do I activate my Gift Card?

Once you receive the Gift Card, all you need to do is to sign on the back of the card and you are ready to use it.

How do I learn the value and the remaining balance of my Gift Card?

To check your Gift Card balance, you have to visit our "Check Balance" section and enter your card serial number and the last 4 digits of the Gift Card number. You can find the serial number on the back of your card and will start with 32525.

My available card balance will not cover my purchase amount. Can I still use my Gift Card?

Yes, you can still use your Gift Card. Just tell the cashier in advance how much to deduct from your Gift Card and how much you will pay using an alternate payment method such as cash. Please note that this process, known as "split tender", may not be supported by all merchants.

Can I buy something in a different currency?

Yes you can. The amount is converted into Euro at our exchange rate applicable at the time of the transaction. The rate for conversion is determined from the daily MasterCard® exchange rate and a foreign exchange surcharge from the fee table. Any change in the rate of conversion will take effect immediately and without prior notice.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

Contact immediately our customer support via email at giftcards@novumbankgroup.com and specify all your contact details. One of your agent will contact you as soon as possible.

For how long can I use my Gift Card?

The Gift Card can be used as long as there is a balance on it, but not after the expiry date written on the card front. After the balance is exhausted, the card is automatically closed.
